Indianola High School evacuated after bomb threat

Categories: Uncategorized

An e-mail was sent out by the Indianola School District Wednesday morning. It read:

“We have evacuated all high school students to the buses due to a bomb threat written on a note found in the bathroom.  We are taking the threat seriously although we question its credibility.  Every student and staff member has boarded a district bus by their 4th period class while we make a thorough sweep of the building.  Upon completion of the sweep, we anticipate classes will reconvene.  If parents feel the need to excuse their student, they will be allowed to call or text their student on their cell phone or call the high school main office to have their student dismissed.  These requests will be verified by teachers on each bus before students will be allowed to leave.  Again, we are taking this threat serious and handling it in an efficient and effective manner.  Thank you for your trust and support as we handle this unfortunate situation.”
