Storm hits, events cancelled, postponed

The Indianola High School February Follies concert set for Thursday night is postponted to Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m.

The Norwalk boys district basketball game vs. Ballard also has been postponed from Thursday to Friday night. The location has been moved to Saydel. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Simpson women’s basketball team’s Iowa Conference Tournament Semifinal game against Loras has been moved to Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

In the event of a win, Simpson would also host the IIAC Tournament Championship game. Originally scheduled to be played Saturday, Feb. 23, that game will now be played on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.

Simpson College also is delaying its season opening baseball game against Sul Ross State from Feb. 22 to Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.

The Storm are slated to play in Clarksville, Ark., but changed travel plans due to the potential bad weather.

In addition, Norwalk Community School district has announced that they will move up parent-teacher conferences to try to beat the weather. Conferences will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday and try to complete all conferences, weather permitting, by 6 p.m. Thursday.
