Tourism grants awarded

canoe sport A couple weeks ago, the Indianola Chamber of Commerce handed out grants, sponsored by the Tourism Committee and funded by the City of Indianola.  These grants are generous and provide a much needed funding source to assist with marketing, promotion and growth for existing and start-up money new businesses.

A few recipients include the Indianola Downtown Merchants, Canoe Sport Outfitters, Jim Johnson, organizer of Bluegrass Tuesdays, just to name a few.  Tourism season is quickly approaching.  Fun events are being planned in and around the county.  Take another look at Warren County…try a staycation and just see what you can find right in your own backyard.  Maybe an overnight get-away, close to home is in order…check out one of the B&B’s.  Be adventurous and try kayaking, canoeing, or stand-up paddling classes with Canoe Sport Outfitters.  Pack a picnic and spend a summer evening on the Square at Bluegrass Tuesdays.  Let us know what you find, what you do where you went.
